Flood Early Warning System
The SFCJPA and City of Palo Alto are completing an interactive website to provide real-time creek flow information to help emergency response personnel and the public make more informed and timely decisions during storm events.
Using newly installed rainfall gauges in the upper watershed and newly available creek flow gauges far upstream of the urbanized floodplain areas, the new website will include a searchable map showing the current flood risk at key constriction points along the channel and in specific neighborhoods.
Look for this new “Early Warning System” to launch in October 2015.
Until that time, please continue to refer to the City of Palo Alto creek monitor website for information.
